Cotton State Barns Are All About Quality
Our barns are built with Mennonite Craftsmanship - All exposed materials are pressure treated
(including skids, floor joists, flooring, siding and trim) - We use 5/8" pressure treated T-111 Siding
- Skids are 4" x 6" (not 4" x 4")
- We use 5/8" pressure treated flooring, thus eliminating the cracks and separation common in butted floors.
- Our floor joists are 2" x 6", built on 16" centers (12" centers in Garages), and are set in 4" x 6" notched skids for added stability and strength (those in most other barns are not!)
- We use "NO RUST" galvanized ring shank nails.
- Our barns are water-sealed with Pittsburg Paints' oil-based Three Year Sun Proof Water Sealer at NO EXTRA CHARGE.
- We use wave plates on all doors and trusses for extra durability and strength (not scrap materials like many others use).
- We provide LOCKS and KEYS for all our barns.
- We use rubber door stops to minimize damage.
